Pirmin Blum (geb. 1969, Luzern, CH) benutzt unterschiedliche Materialien und Medien aus Industrie, Wirtschaft bzw. dem Internet (insgesamt found footage Material), indem er Versuchsfilme, Testverfahren u.ä. montiert und transformiert. 
Blum führt exemplarisch vor, dass aktuelle künstlerische Kompetenz den souveränen Umgang mit den Medien der Massenkultur Werbekampagnen, Fernsehen, Websites etc.) voraussetzt, und keinen Widerspruch zu einer individuellen wie signifikanten Ausdrucksweise darstellt.


Pirmin Blum (born 1969, Luzern, Switzerland) uses different materials and media from industry, business and the Internet by mounting and transforming found footage material (test films, test procedures and the like).
Blum demonstrates by way of example that current artistic competence requires the sovereign handling of the media of mass culture (advertising campaigns, television, websites etc.) and does not contradict an individual as well as significant expression.
